Detained war crimes accused BNP lawmaker Salauddin Quader Chowdhury was sued Monday for sodomy in Kashimpur jail.
Abdus Salam Mia, father of lifer Alal Mia who is serving his term in Kashimpur Jail, filed the case with the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court here.
Taking cognizance of the case, Magistrate Ahsan Habib asked the officer-in-charge of Joydevpur Thana to take necessary legal steps after investigating the allegation.
Abdus Salam, in his case, claimed that war crimes accused Salauddin Quader Chowdhury, who is staying in Kashimpur Jail for the last two years, tried to develop physical relationship with his jail-mate Alal who refused to entertain the illicit offer.
He mentioned that Alal used to work as servant of SQ Chowdhury in Kashimpur jail.
SQ Chowdhury, however, managed to woo Alal at long last and at one stage enticed the youth into having physical relationship with him in the jail during November 2011-2012 with offers of lucrative benefit, the complainant claimed.
He further alleged that the BNP stalwart had given threats to his son who was made victim of sodomy with severe consequences.
