In face of protest, the authorities announce closure of the institution till May 25
The Vice-Principal of Mohammadpur Preparatory Higher Secondary Girls’ School Zinnatunnessa has been discharged from her responsibility on Saturday, following the incidents of sexual assault of two minor schoolgirls.
The authorities of the Trustee Board of the institution made the decision at a meeting on Saturday afternoon, said M Tamim, Trustee Board member of the institution.
“Besides, two employees–Gopal and Shariful– who are allegedly responsible for the incidents, have also been dismissed the same day.”

In face of protest, the authorities also announced closure of the institution till May 25.
Principal Belayet Hossain told the journalist that the school would remain close for the Shab-e-Meraj and the summer vacation.
While talking to journalists, he alleged that he was assaulted after the meeting. However, he declined to make further comments over the incident.
Hundreds of students and guardians took to the street on Saturday morning and staged protest against the sexual assault.
They also demanded dismissal of Zinnatunnessa, who said to have passed low comments over the incidents, and the two accused male employees.
A grade one student was sexually assaulted on May 5 this year and another student of grade five was fell prey of similar crime last year. The news of harassment of the grade five student surfaced after the fresh incident of May 5.
