Sever ties with militants for dialogue, Inu tells Khaleda

Information Minister Hasanul Huq Inu on Wednesday said there will be no negotiation between the government and BNP until its chairperson Khaleda Zia parts the company of militants.

“The door for dialogue is always open, but there’ll be no talks until Khaleda Zia severs ties with militants,” the minister said addressing a commemorative meeting on Nurul Islam Dalu at Jasad Central office in the city’s Bangabandhu Avenue.

This is unfortunate that autocracy and communalism stalled the progress of the country frequently and now even BNP leader Khaleda Zia has indulged in hatching conspiracy joining hands with the militants, Inu said.

“Under the circumstance, we had been able to protect the country through holding the January 5 election thwarting BNP-Jamaat’s plot of destroying the Constitution,” the information minister said.

Referring to the recent incident of snatching three militants from the police custody, Inu alleged that militants are waiting for changes in political landscape to strike back.

He called upon the people of the country to free the country from the grip of militants and force Khaleda Zia to cut ties with them being united under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

“It’s not the time to be contended. It is not the time to rest. It’s the time of joining a united movement under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to free the country from clutch of militants, and force Khaleda Zia to shun militancy,” Inu, also the President of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (Jasad), said.

Jasad central leader Mir Akhter Hossain presided over the meeting.
