A Dhaka court on Thursday ordered the authorities concerned to send Oishee Rahman, arrested in connection with the killing of her parents, to jail from the Juvenile Correctional Centre in Gazipur.
Metropolitan Magistrate M Anwar Sadat passed the order in the evening following a petition filed by probation officer of the Department of Social Services Siddiqur Rahman.
Filing the petition, Siddiqur told the court that Oishee is 19 years old according to her birth certificate.
Later, the court ordered the transfer of the juvenile girl to jail from the correctional centre.
Meanwhile, three more people made their depositions before another court in connection with the double murder on Thursday.
Metropolitan Magistrate Asaduzzaman Nur recorded the statements of Imam Ali, a CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver, Oishee’s aunty Kulsum Begum, Taslima Akhter, owner of the house where the slain couple had been living, following a petition filed by Detective Branch (DB) of police Inspector Abu Al Khayer Matabbar, also the investigation officer of the case.
On August 16, police recovered the bodies of Special Branch of police Inspector Mahfuzur Rahman and his wife Swapna Rahman from their Chamelibagh residence in the capital.
Later, Oishee surrendered to the police confessing to the killing.
She was sent to Juvenile Correctional Centre at Konabari in the Gazipur city on Saturday night.
