Detectives on Monday detained Shamim Hossain Sayedee, a son of war crimes suspect Jamaat leader Delawar Hossain Sayedee, and his three associates on charges of planning subversive activities.
The other detainees are: Habibur Rahman, a teacher of Shanto-Mariam University; Mosharraf Hossain, a teacher of Bangladesh International Cadet Madrasa; and Abdur Rashid, owner of Colombia Travels International, reports Bangla daily Prothom Alo.
The arrest was made following information that some people were planning subversive activities.
The four were arrested around 12:30pm at an area in Uttara, said Mollah Nazrul Islam, deputy commissioner of DB.
The arrestees were being brought to the capital’s DB office at Minto Road.
