Salman F Rahman, private industry and investment affairs adviser to the former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, and former law minister Anisul Huq, were arrested in the capital today.
Md Mainul Hasan, commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police, confirmed the development to The Daily Star.
He said they were arrested in a case filed with the New Market Police Station.
Based on a tip-off, Salmam F Rahman and Anisul Huq were arrested from Sadarghat area of Dhaka today, said the DMP media wing.
