Rowshan finally shows her anger

Angered by the growing public sufferings, opposition leader in  the  parliament ,  Begum Raushon Ershad made an unusual attack on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday and suggested her to come out of her house and see for herself how people are living a miserable life.
“You’re the Prime Minister of the country’s all people, not of Awami League. You must think about people’s sufferings and come up with remedial steps,” a worried opposition leader said pointing at Sheikh Hasina.
In her concluding speech of the third session of the 10th parliament, Raushon further said, “No one tells you about bad things as all want to keep you happy always. You please come out of your house one day to see how people are leading a miserable life out there.”
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina who was present in the House was smilingly but carefully listening to the opposition leader’s speech, and took notes.
Mentioning that unabated food adulteration is taking its heavy tool on people, Rowshan  demanded the government take stern actions against those adulterate food and medicines. ”You can stop the formalin use in food overnight if you want to.”
The Jatiya Party leader said, “You (PM) have to ensure safe food for people. How come you’re a daughter of Bangabandhu and people keep on consuming poisonous food when you’re the Prime Minister?”
Lamenting that most food items and even the medicine are adulterated, she questioned what will people eat to live on? “We must overcome this problem.”
About power crisis, Raushon said people are enduring power outages 3-4 times a day, but the Prime Minister is unable to realise as she gets uninterrupted power supply in her house and office.
She alleged that a section of people is looting Tk 15,000 crore from power sector every year while the government is incurring a loss Tk 25,000 crore in the sector due to massive corruption and other irregularities.
The opposition leader urged the Prime Minister to develop infrastructure and take steps for resolving power and gas crises to attract foreign investment in a greater way.
Depicting a sorry state of roads and highways across the country, including that of capital city, Raushon said the most of the roads have become unfit for traffic, causing immense sufferings to the commuters. “Many roads have turned into virtual death traps. Around 60 percent of the 4,107 roads in Dhaka city are not fit for vehicular movement, contributing to tailbacks and eating up valuable working hours.”
The opposition leader urged the Prime Minister to provide necessary support and assistance to the recent flood victims for their rehabilitation and easing their sufferings.
Drawing the Finance Minister’s attention, she said some big fishes borrowed Tk 30,000 crore from different banks only to misappropriate. “Some companies are borrowing money from banks and embezzling the entire amount. It seems that looting bank money is their business.”
She urged the Finance Minister to take steps to recover the money and use that for the welfare of the country’s people.
