Saima Wazed Hossain says she does not use Facebook.
The US-licensed school psychologist on Tuesday said she had noticed some Facebook pages after her name and fan pages that carried political statements.
“But I want to tell you I don’t use Facebook,” she told bdnews24.com in a Skype interview on autism and disability issues.
Saima Hossain, known in Bangladesh by her nickname, Putul, is an expert of the WHO’s advisory panel on mental health.
She spearheads autism campaign for Bangladesh and it was due to her initiative the WHO member states passed a Bangladesh-pushed resolution on autism last month.
She said people opened Facebook account by her name and introduced her as “politician”.
“I am a member of a political family, but I am a psychologist,” the granddaughter of Bangladesh’s founding father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman said.

She said she loved to be called a psychologist.
“Its (psychologist) my designation.”
“It hurts when people change my designation,” she said referring to her fake Facebook pages.
