Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will address the press on Thursday afternoon to brief about her recent tour to United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The press conference is scheduled to be hold at 4:30pm at Ganabhaban, her official residence.
The Prime Minister went to the UAE on a three-day visit on October 25.
During her tour, Bangladesh and the UAE on Monday signed three deals, including an ‘Agreement on Security Cooperation’ between the two countries, aiming to enhance cooperation on containing crimes.
The two other deals signed on Monday are ‘Agreement on Transfer of Sentenced Prisoners’ and ‘Handing over of a piece of land for the UAE embassy in Dhaka’.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Bureau of Manpower Employment and Training (BMET) and professional labour recruiting agency (Amala) group of UAE on Sunday.
Under the MoU, the UAE will recruit 1,000 female workers from Bangladesh. More workers would be recruited in phases.
