Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia have greeted each other on Eid-ul-Fitr, a tradition they maintain despite being fierce political adversaries.
The prime minister’s protocol officer delivered Hasina’s greeting card at Khaleda’s Gulshan office at Monday noon.
The BNP chief’s Personal Secretary Abdus Sattar received it.
BNP’s assistant office secretaries Shamimur Rahman Shamim and Asadul Karim Shahin on Tuesday morning took Khaleda’s card to Awami League President Hasina’s Dhanmondi political office.
The two arch rivals have not come face-to-face for a long time. But they exchange greetings ahead of the two Eids and the Bengali New Year.
