Pakistan on Thursday expressed deep shock at the death of President Zillur Rahman.
The government and the people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan expressed their deep shock at the death of President Zillur Rahman, according to a press release of Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka.
Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Afrasiab said: “The people of Pakistan share the grief for this tragedy with their brothers and sisters in Bangladesh”.
In view of the sad demise of the Bangladesh President, the government of Pakistan has decided to postpone the reception scheduled to be held at the High Commission in Dhaka on the National Day of Pakistan on March 23, the release said.
The national flag of Pakistan will also be kept at half mast at the High Commission as a mark of respect to the late President, it said.
