Robbers have shot a person and looted Tk30 lakh form his possession at capital’s Mirpur-2 on Sunday afternoon.
The victim, Mojibor Rahman, 40, involved with land buying and selling business.
Mojibir, son of Mobarak Akon of Patia area of Khilkhet in the city, was returning home with Tk30 lakh after selling a land in Mirpur-2 area, victim’s cousin Delwar Hossain said.
He said: “Three-four miscreants shot him and snatched Tk30 lakh from his possession.”
Mojibor received bullets at the right side of his chest. The miscreants crossed the road and fled the area on a motorcycle.”
Locals rushed to the spot after hearing his screams and sent the victim to Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 5pm.
However, the duty doctors said that his situation is not very critical.
Mozammel Haque, in-charge of DMCH police outpost endorsed the information to the Dhaka Tribune.
