BNP Standing Committee Member Tariqul Islam on Thursday said the 18-party alliance will not call any hartal until December 23 for peaceful observance of Victory Day programmes.
“We’ve programmes for Victory Day until December 23. We don’t want to enforce hartal till December 23 if the government doesn’t force us or crate any situation that might prompt us to go for tough programmes,” he said.
He said this while talking to journalists at the BNP’s Nayapaltan central office in the city.
We want to observe the Victory Day programmes peacefully,” he said.
