Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee called up pro-liberation organizations including Ganajagoron Mancha and Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), to show restrains and also condemned police for its recent attack on the activists of Ganajagoron Mancha at Shahbag.

They also pleaded to Prime Minister to listen to both the parties and take initiatives to avert misunderstandings, if any. They urged these things in a written statement yesterday.

The statement was jointly signed by seven organisers including its President Justice Golam Rabbani and Executive President Shahriar Kabir. It stated that any type of conflict between two pro-liberation forces will only provide benefits to anti-liberation and fundamentalist groups.

Syamoli Nasreen Chowdhury, Ferdousy Priovashini, Shamim Akhtar and Kazi Mukul were among the other signatories.

The statement further stated that, the incident of challenging each other by the two organizations had deeply hurt them and they urged them to stay as a combined force against the main culprit i.e. the anti-liberation forces and take the movement of Jahanara Imam forward as the Ganajagaron Mancha just the way it was a year earlier.

In this statement they again pleaded to Prime minister to ban the political activities of Jamaat-e-Islami as they accused it as a criminal organization. They also expressed their condolence to the family of Martyr blogger Rajiv Haider.
