Leader of the opposition and BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia will have a meeting with US Ambassador in Dhaka Dan W Mozena on Monday evening, hours after her press conference scheduled to be held at 4pm at a city hotel.
The parley will be held at Khaleda’s Gulshan office at 7:00pm, BNP chairperson’s press secretary Maruf Kamal Khan Sohel told UNB.
“The US Ambassador yesterday (Sunday) sought an appointment to meet the opposition leader. Later, the schedule was fixed for 7pm today,” Maruf said.
Current issues, including the next parliamentary elections, the polls-time government and BNP’s movement, are likely to come up at the meeting for discussion, BNP sources said.
Ahead of the meeting with Mozena, Khaleda will address the press conference apparently to give her party’s reaction to the Prime Minister’s offer for forming an all-party polls-time government.
She is likely to come up with a counter proposal on polls-time administration at the press conference.
