I firmly believe that the life story of living individuals should not be included as a part of school curriculum, says Modi
India’s new Prime Minister Narendra Modi has discouraged the idea of including his biography in school curriculum.
Modi expressed his view over the matter in a post on his official Facebook page on Friday afternoon.
The Indian prime minister’s suggestion comes amid reports that the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh has been considering proposals to include a chapter on Modi in school textbooks.
In the post, Modi mentioned that some states of the country want to include his life struggles as a part of their school curriculum.
“I firmly believe that the life story of living individuals should not be included as a part of the school curriculum,” he said.
Modi urged the school authorities to include the historical stalwarts’ contribution so that the young minds could read about these great people and emulate them.
