Rajshahi, Pabna, Naogaon and Kurigram districts are in the grip of a mild cold wave, weather officials said on Thursday.
The cold conditions may continue in these districts, according to the regular bulletin of Bangladesh Metrological Department, reports UNB.
Besides, light rain may occur at a couple of places in Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, while the weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.
Light to moderate fog may also occur at some places in the country from Thursday midnight till Friday morning, the bulletin said.
Night and day temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Trough of westerly low lies over sub-Himalayan West Bengal and adjoining areas. Ridge of sub-continental high extends up to West Bengal and adjoining areas Seasonal low lies over South Bay, said the Met office.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 9.3 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi district while the maximum was at 28.6 degrees in Teknaf of Chattogram, the bulletin added.
