Swimmer Mahfuza Khatun clinched her second gold for Bangladesh in the Women’s 50 metre Breast Stroke of the 12th South Asian Games at Dr Zakir Hussain Aquatic Complex in Guwahati, India on Monday.
With her second one in swimming, Bangladesh achieved a total of three gold medals.
On Sunday, Mahfuza clinched another Gold medal in the Women’s 100-metre breast at the same venue.
Weightlifter Mabia Akhter Simanta clinched the first gold medal for Bangladesh in the women’s 63-kg weight category at the Bhogeshwari Phukanani Indoor Stadium in Dispur, Guwahati, also on Sunday.
