Observing that BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s movement will never see light, Awami League leader Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif on Tuesday said they need not to take advance preparation to foil the movement.
He made the remarks while exchanging views with local Awami League leaders and activists at his district town residence.
Hanif, also joint general secretary of Awami League, claimed that people’s support for BNP has reached rock bottom. “The movement which fails to draw people’s support will see no light.”
He also said BNP has now faced an existence crisis following a split in the party-led 20-party alliance.
The ruling party leader alleged that BNP is hatching a conspiracy after being politically bankrupt.
District Awami League general secretary Azgar Ali and its town unit president Taijal Ali Khan were also present on the occasion.
