Khaleda offers fateha at Prophet’s grave

BNP Chairperson, now in Saudi Arabia on a 10-day visit, offered fateha at the grave of Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (Pbuh) in Medina on Sunday night.

 

Earlier, Khaleda, also the leader of the opposition in parliament, said her Esa and Tarabi prayers at Masjid al-Nabawi, Saudi BNP sources said.

 

The BNP chief also offered a munajat (special prayer) seeking divine blessings as well as continued peace, progress and prosperity of Bangladesh its people and the Muslim Ummah.

 

According to the sources, Khaleda will be staying in a Royal Palace in Medina for three days.

 

Later, she will go to Makkah to perform the Umrah.

 

Khaleda left Dhaka for Saudi Arabia on a regular flight of Emirates Airlines at about 7:20pm on Friday.

 

Her younger brother Shamim Eskander, his wife Kaniz Fatema, BNP vice chairman Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury, private secretary ASM Saleh Ahmed and photographer Nuruddin Ahmed are accompanying the opposition leader during her visit.

 

She is scheduled to return home on July 6.
