Khaleda goes to N’ganj Tuesday

 BNP chairperson Khaleda is going to Narayanganj on Tuesday to console the family members of the seven people killed after abduction recently.

Khaleda will start her journey for the port city from her Gulshan residence around 11am, her media wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan told UNB.

She will straight go to the house of slain Narayanganj panel mayor Nazrul Islam at West Mizmizi in Siddirganj upazila, Narayanganj BNP president Taimur Alam Khandaker told UNB.

Khaleda will talk to the bereaved family members and console them. She will also talk to the families of five other victims at Nazrul’s house.

Later, he said, Khaleda will visit the house of another victim, lawyer Chandan Kumar Sarker, at Jahlkuri in Fatullah upazila.

Earlier on Sunday night, the BNP chief rescheduled her visit for Tuesday from Wednesday as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has invited the family members of the victims to Ganobhaban the same day.

Besides, BNP sought permission twice for holding a rally in Narayanganj during Khaleda’s visit to the port city, but city mayor Selina Hayat Ivy denied them permission on security grounds.

Nazrul Islam, his three associates, driver, senior lawyer Chandan Kumar Sarker and his driver were killed after their abduction in Narayanganj on April 27.
