The BNP chairperson will be there at her office in the evening and have a meeting with Chinese Ambassador in Dhaka Li Jun, her media wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan told UNB.
Khaleda, who is set to lose her official portfolio as the opposition leader, had last attended her political office on December 25 when she exchanged greetings with members of the Christian community, said Sayrul.
Khaleda Zia had virtually been confined to her Gulshan residence as the government took a hard-line following her announcement for ‘March for Democracy’ programme for December 29.
She was reportedly kept ‘under house arrest’ till January 7.
Khaleda claimed that she had been kept under house arrest as she was not allowed to come out of it and her party leaders and activists barred from meeting her, an allegation turned down by the government.

Keeping Khaleda inside her residence was an excellent decision of Hasina. Becaue, if Khaleda would have been kept feer to move then, the destructions and killings could have been more and as a result, the losses of properties and lives could have been more. WHAT THE NATION WOULD HAVE GAINED IF KHALEDA WOULD HAVE BEEN KEPT FREE TO MOVE ???? NOTHING……NOTHING……ZERO…..ZERO…
