A local Jubo League leader was beaten to death by some BNP men at Biala Dakshinpara in Kalai upazila Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Touhidul Islam Sabuj, organizing secretary of ward-2 Matrai union Jubo League.
Witnesses said some local BNP men beat up Touhidul mercilessly in the morning following previous enmity, leaving him seriously injured.
He was rushed to Kalai upazila health complex where he succumbed to his injuries at about 10 am.
