A faction of Bangladesh Federal Union Journalists (BUFJ) and Dhaka Union of Journalists will stage a token hunger strike on Monday demanding unconditional release of Amar Desh acting editor Mahmudur Rahman.
The journalists will hold the four-hour programme in front of Jatiya Press Club in the capital around 10:00am.
BFUJ President Ruhul Amin Gazi announced the programme on the second day of a sit-in held by the faction of BUFJ and DUJ in front of the press club on Saturday demanding the same.
