Country Representative of Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) in Bangladesh Kei Kawalo on Saturday assured the DCCI leaders of their cooperation in creating 2000 entrepreneurs in Bangladesh.
He also expressed interest to translate and publish DCCI’s publications into Japanese language to facilitate Japanese entrepreneurs to invest in Bangladesh by making them more familiar with Bangladesh’s business environment.
The assurance came during a meeting with Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) President M Sabur Khan at the DCCI office.
Sabur Khan informed the JETRO representative that Bangladesh-Japan relationship is vital and equally important for both the countries from the trade and economic perspective.
He also informed them about the ‘DCCI Help Desk’ on its premise to render various services on trade, commerce and investment to the business entrepreneurs at home and abroad.
Sabur Khan informed that the Chamber has also taken initiatives of creating 2000 new entrepreneurs this year. And it will organise Entrepreneurship and Innovation Expo-2013 to project these 2000 entrepreneurs.
As JETRO is a potential development partner of Bangladesh, DCCI President sought active cooperation for the capacity building of DCCI Help Desk and in creation and development of 2000 entrepreneurs.
DCCI vice president Absar Karim Chowdhury, Secretary Bashir Haider and JETRO Director Liton C Sarker were present during the meeting.
