A West Bengal court in India today ordered repatriation of Nur Hossain, the prime accused in the sensational seven-murder in Narayanganj, reports Bangla daily Prothom Alo.

The chief judicial magistrate court of Barasat in Uttar 24 Pargana district passed the order following a hearing today.

On August 24, the Indian state moved the Barasat CJM court to drop all charges against Nur Hossain before another court framed charges of trespassing against him.

Today’s order indicates that all the charges pressed against him in India have been withdrawn.

Prothom Alo quoted officials concerned there as saying Nur Hossain will be repatriated as soon as possible.

Earlier in April last year, seven people including Narayanganj City Corporation councillor Nazrul Islam and senior lawyer Chandan Sarker were abducted. Later, their bodies were found floating in the river Shitalakkhya of the district.

Nazrul’s father-in-law Shahidul Islam alleged that Rab personnel abducted and killed Nazrul in exchange for Tk 6 crore from a local ward councillor Nur Hossain.
