The law minister, Anisul Huq, said on Tuesday that the government is looking forward to the Supreme Court as regards to the execution of death row war crimes convict Jamaat leader Muhammad Kamaruzzaman.

He was talking to the reporters after a meeting with state
minister for home affairs Asaduzzaman Khan at the Bangladesh secretariat.
The AD verdict has not yet been published and that a published copy is needed to comply with legal procedures in case of sentencing anyone, it is learnt.
Earlier on Saturday the law minister had said that the government should not execute Kamaruzzaman unless the prison authority received a court order.
The Appellate Division on November 3 pronounced its judgement on Kamaruzzaman’s appeal petition and upheld his death sentence awarded by a war crimes tribunal.
