A Dhaka court has sent BNP leaders Goyeshwar Chandra Roy and Amanullah Aman to jail in a murder case, rejecting the bail pleas.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Harunur Rashid has passed the order on Sunday afternoon.
However, the court has also issued six months interim bail to BNP leader Mirza Abbas, another accused in the case.
The BNP leaders were shown arrest in a murder case filed with Rampura police station for killing capital’s Dhakkin Khan unit Chhatra Shibir President Mansur Rahman during BNP-led 18-patry’s march for democracy programme.
Mansur was killed in a clash between police and the activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing, Islami Chhatra Shibir, at Malibagh on December 29, 2013.
