Ganajagaran Manch will form a human chain in front of Sangsad Bhaban on May 4, demanding a ban on Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.
The announcement came from the Manch on the first evening of Bangla New Year 1420. Spokesperson of the Ganajagaran Manch Imran H Sarkar made the announcement.
The human chain will be formed at 4pm.
Imran said they would continue campaign from April 20 to May 4 in support of their demands that include a ban on Jamaat and capital punishment of all the war crimes accused.
The platform, backed by youths, will organise a meeting in Dhaka on April 27 to exchange views among its activists and representatives.
On May 1, Ganajagaran Manch will organise a grand rally for labourers at Shahbagh, Imran said.
Earlier, the Manch held a daylong programme to welcome the first day of the Bangla New Year 1420.
They formed a human chain for three minutes and also lighted ‘mangal pradeep’ (auspicious lamps) as a symbol of eliminating darkness.
