Four Bangladeshi workers have died in a plastics factory fire in Oman’s capital Muscat, local media reports say quoting police.
The ‘Times of Oman’ quoted an unnamed official from Bangladesh in Muscat as saying that four of the victims were Bangladeshi and two Pakistani nationals.
“Six were burnt to death and one was injured in the fire that broke out in the plastics and carpentry factory on Wednesday morning,” Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulances tweeted in its official Twitter account, according to the website.
It said its ‘reliable sources’ said all of the workers were working in a sofa making factory.
“The fire must have broken out at around 3am. All six were burnt to death. We are coordinating with local authorities to get more details,” a senior official from Bangladesh told ‘Times of Oman’.
