The country’s foreign exchange reserves on Tuesday hit an all-time high US$ 15.069 billion breaking the previous record of US$ 14.105 billion (March 5).
“The reserve stood at US$ 15.069 billion today. It’ll continue to increase,” Bangladesh Bank assistant spokesperson AFM Asaduzzaman told UNB.
The central bank officials said the fall in import bills, increase in remittance and export earnings have contributed towards boosting the foreign exchange reserve.
