Fire breaks out at Mohammadpur residential building, brought under control swiftly

A fire broke out in a high-rise residential building, the High Heritage, in the Qaderabad area of Mohammadpur, Dhaka, around noon today (5 November).

Mohammad Shafiul Alam, a firefighter at the Mohammadpur Fire Service and Civil Defence Station, said two fire service units were deployed to the scene.

“The fire has been brought under control and the extinguishing operation is in its final stage,” he told TBS.

No casualties or injuries had been confirmed at the time of reporting. The cause of the fire also could not be determined immediately
