Dr Kamal: Equality yet to be fully achieved
‘We want to see equal distribution of assets among people’
Gono Forum President Dr Kamal Hossain has said even after 48 years of independence, the people of Bangladesh still have not fully achieved equality.
“We have not been able to fully achieve equality for the people,” he said.
He made the statement at the National Memorial in Savar after paying tribute to martyrs on Tuesday.
Dr Kamal said: “We achieved a lot so far, but we have yet to achieve a fully equal society. For the attainment of equality and inclusiveness, we need to carry out our movement together.”
He said he wants a Bangladesh befitting the vision portrayed by the Constitution.
“We want to see equal distribution of assets among people,” he said.
He said he wants to see the economy developing in a speedy manner.
“We also want to see an inclusive economy. We want to see the proper distribution of production,” he said.
