Passing the order, an HC bench comprising Justice Quazi Reza Ul Hoque and Justice ABM Altaf Hossain also asked the Directorate General of Health Services to supervise the matter.
The court also exempted the DGHS director general from personal appearance after it was told that female doctors, nurses and MLSS’s have been recruited at hospitals for conducting medical examinations on rape victims

The order had come following a report on carrying out medical test on the rape victims at Dhaka Medical College Hospital by male doctors was published in a national daily.
Supreme Court Lawyer BM Ilias and Jotirmoy Barua filed the writ petition on April 16 last year.
Passing the order, the court had also asked the Directorate General of Health Services to inform it about its compliance.
