Dipu Moni: Khaleda made false allegations

She claims that Khaleda is trying to pass the blame of her party’s deeds to the government

Awami League Joint General Secretary Dipu Moni on Monday said BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia had made false allegations against the government about 2009 Pilkhana carnage.

The AL leader made the remark at a press conference at party President Sheikh Hasina’s Dhanmondi office in the evening.

“Khaleda Zia’s statement blaming the government for the BDR killing was totally false and unreal,” said Dipu.

She claimed that Khaleda had been trying to pass the blame of her party’s deeds to the government.

“The government has completed the trial in the BDR killing case. People of the country know the facts now,” she added.

Dipu also said the three-time premier had made indecent statements while talking to the law enforcers in front of her residence on Sunday.

“The opposition calls programmes, but does not observe those. Instead, it creates anarchy by the Jamaat-Shibir activists and hired terrorists,” she alleged.

Asked about the government’s “unofficial blockade,” Dipu Moni said: “Everyone is doing their tasks without any interruptions. It is the government’s responsibility to ensure people’s security. The government has succeeded in this task as no subversive activities have taken place.”
