Rescuers on Saturday continued with their efforts at Savar braving rain but said they needed necessary materials including canvass to carry out the work.
A 15-minute-long shower drenched the area as the rescue operation was on.
Over 300 people have been killed and hundreds of others are feared trapped under the debris of the nine-storey Rana Plaza.
“Our search would continue amid rains,” a determined Fire Service and Civil Defence Director Maj Mohammad Mahbub told bdnews24.com.
He requested everyone to supply canvass, thick polythene.
A small amount of canvass and polythene were managed as the rain started but rescuers said it was insufficient to cover up in case of heavy rainfall.
Meanwhile, the relatives of those missing, who had gathered at the Adhar Chandra School with the hope of getting their loved ones, had to suffer due to rain.
Several people have been rescued even after 72 hours. The army has said the rescue efforts would continue until the last person was rescued.
Until Saturday, 333 dead bodies have been recovered and over 2,500 people have been rescued.
