Chhayanaut welcomes spring

Chhayanaut organised a cultural show at its auditorium on Friday to highlight the beauty of the spring through music and dance.
The students of the organisation presented diverse songs composed by the five great poets of Bangla literature including Rabindranath Tagore, Kazi Nazrul Islam, Atul Prasad Sen Rajanikanta Sen and Dwijendralal Ray.
The show began with a colourful group dance recital based on Rabindranath Tagore’s song Orey Grihabashi Kholo Dar Kholo.
The dancers presented another recital synchronised with Atul Prasad Sen’s song Mora Nachi Phule Phule.
A group of singers, mostly children, rendered the national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam’s song Basanta Elo Elo Re and Aaj Dol Phaguner Dol Legechhe.
M Sadat Kamal and Sabrina Kamal in a duet presentation rendered Dwijendralal Ray’s song Amar Malay Batashe.
Srabanty Shobhona and Noufa Nuren Nanziba presented Tagore song Aj Khela Bhangar Khela.
Ishrat Jahan Lamia rendered Nazrul song Sukno Patar Nupur Baaje while Omeya Ptrotiti sang Rajani Kanta Sen’s song Dhir Samire Chanchal Nire.
The young singers also rendered Tagore songs Ogo Dokhin Hawa and Rangiye Diye Jao, and Nazrul songs Sundor Atithi and Moner Rang Legechhe.
A full-hall audience enjoyed the show. They appreciated Chhayanaut’s initiative of promoting promising artistes. ‘It is good to see that Chhayanaut organised such a beautiful programme with their students,’ said Nasrin Akter, a school teacher from Mohammadpur.
