The prime suspect in the blast in a house in West Bengal’s Burdwan town last week is based in Bangladesh, PTI news agency tonight reports quoting Indian police sources.
This apparently came out during three hours of interrogation of Hafez Mollah, one of the four persons arrested in connection with the blast that took place on October 2 leaving two persons dead.
On the basis of information gathered from Badrul Alam, Mollah, alias Hafez Mollah alias Hasem, the police released a sketch of the prime suspect who is based in Bangladesh, our New Delhi correspondent reports quoting the sources.
CID officers interrogated Mollah in Burdwan police station and later arrested him.
The sketch of the mastermind has been sent to all police stations of Burdwan and nearby districts and railway stations to nab him, CID officers said.
The CID officers said the mastermind behind the blast visited the house a couple of days before the blast to prepare a blue print of subversive activities.
