Four Bangladeshi cattle traders were shot by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at Agrovulot border under Benapole port early Sunday.
The injured were identified as Amir Hossain, 25, son of Rabiul Islam, Sarif Hossain, 22, son of Abdul Kuddus, Raja Mia, 30, son of Abdul Ohab and Sawkat Ali, 34, son Akber Ali.
They were from Agrovulot village at Benapole in Jessore, reports our Benapole correspondent.
Commander Mosarraf Hossain of 23 Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) at Agrovulot camp said, patrolling BSF men of Jhoudanga border camp in India shot the cattle traders while they were returning from India with huge cattle.
Four among the traders were seriously injured on the spot, he added.
However, the other traders were managed to flee the spot with the injured.
Later, the injured were admitted to the Jessore Medical College Hospital.
