Members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) picked up two Bangladeshi schoolboys from Pakuria border point in Doulatpur upazila on Sunday.
The victims were identified as Azam Ali, 15, a class X student of Pakuria Secondary School, son of Rafiqul Islam of Pakuria village, and Mamun, 15, a class X student of Insafnagar Secondary School, son of Ekram Hossain of Bhangapara village in the upazila.
BGB sources said the BSF troops from Krishan Camp of Hoglabaria in Nadia district, West Bengal took away the two boys at gunpoint while they were working at a field near pillar No 153-(123) in the bordering area around 11 am.
Protesting the incident, Thotarpara BGB Camp Commander Habildar Shamsul Alam sent a letter to BSF urging it to return the two boys but there has been no response till filing of this report at about 5 pm.
