Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan has said the BNP needs to keep a ‘political account-book’ to realise what mistakes it made during the anti-government agitations.
He made the statement while speaking at the new ledger opening ceremony of Madina Trading Corporation Limited at Old Dhaka on Friday noon.
The minister said: “They (BNP) should open its ledger to realise the mistakes it had made by unleashing destructive acts across the country before the (Jan 5) elections to grab power.”

He said if the BNP claimed itself to be a democratic party, it needed to open the ‘political ledger’.
“…Then they will find that their acts were not political.”
The BNP-led 18-Party Alliance went for violent agitations to press its key demand – holding of the 10th parliamentary elections under a non-party caretaker government.
Dhaka-7 MP Md Selim was also present at the function.
