The Police and Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) took alert position in Benapole border to prevent the accused of Narayanganj seven-murder from escaping country.

The BGB members tightened the security in the border so that the accused cannot cross the immigration through passport or cross the barbwire fence illegally and go to India.

Benapole immigration police officer-in-charge (OC) Jahangir Alam told Prothom Alo that the immigration check post was ordered to tightened special security after the Narayanganj offences. Photographs of the listed accused were hanged in front of the gate of Benapole check post.

The OC also assured that there was s no chance for the accused to leave the country legally.

Border Guard Battalion (BGB)-26 captain Lieutenant Colonel Matitur Rahman said I did not get any order for tightening the security.

I have ordered the BGB camp members with cautionary alert by my own, he added.
