ACC sues ex-RMCH director, 7 others

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Monday sued former director of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) Brig Gen (retd) Abdul Latif and seven others for misappropriating Tk 2.13 crore.

ACC Deputy Director Manjur Morshed filed the case with Rajpara Police Station in the city in the afternoon.

According to the case statement, the former RMCH director in connivance with the other accused embezzled the money by purchasing medicines from the highest bidders instead of the lowest ones on different occasions.

The ACC filed the case after it found the allegation to be true during its inquiry, said Manjur Morshed.

Confirming the filing of case, the officer-in-charge of Rajpara Police Station said necessary legal action will be taken in this connection.
