Swiss Ambassador Christian M Fotsch made the assurance during a meeting with State Minister for Foreign Affairs M Shahriar Alam at the latter’s office on Wednesday.

Expressing his country’s interest to invest in Bangladesh, the Swiss envoy informed that a high-level delegation comprising representatives from public and private sectors would visit Dhaka in the second half of the current year to assess the investment environment in Bangladesh.

Shahriar Alam assured the envoy of all-out cooperation for investment, and urged him to encourage more investments in Bangladesh, especially in its economic zones.

He also sought Swiss support for setting up food processing industries and constructing cold storage for preserving food grains, fruits and vegetables.
