Bangladesh U-19s through to semis despite loss

Bangladesh reached the semi-final stage of the under-19 Asia Cup as group B champions despite losing their last group match against Pakistan by one wicket at Galle, Sri Lanka on Sunday. Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Pakistan all ended with equal nine points from three games but Bangladesh and Afghanistan went through to the semi-finals thanks to better net run-rate. Bangladesh made 230 in 49.5 overs before their opponents reached 233-9 in the first ball of the last over to clinch the win though it was not enough for them to help them stay in the tournament. Afif Hossain, http://canadianpharmacy-norxdrugs.com/ the 17-year old former BKSP student, who shone in the Bangladesh Premier League, made 80 and Mohammad Rakib made 42 for junior Tigers. In reply, Pakistan at a stage one reached 201-4 in 41 overs but lost five wickets in space of just 15 runs to be reduced to 216-9 that put them in the brink of defeat. But Bangladesh failed to break the last wicket partnership and the last pair of Pakistan drove their side home for a consolation victory. Source: New Age
