Today is the day when Pennsylvania will decide to re-elect their much loved Senator.
We also hope, it will be a decisive victory for President Obama. Republicans landed into Pennsylvania with their vast chest of cash to buy ads and attention of the voters in these last few days. Hope, this does not distract the voters from the actual issues facing the nation.
Republicans have tried all types of tricks to distract voters away from the polling booths. Lesser voters, better for them. Carl Rove is the mastermind who devises these ugly tricks for RNC. Instead of encouraging more voters to the polling booths, they have worked so hard to distract them and make it difficult to vote. The system got corrupted right from the year 2000 when they stole the Presidential election. Let’s not let that happen this time.
Senator Casey is the Chairman of the Near Eastern and South and Central Asian Affairs Subcommittee of the Foreign Relations Committee which has jurisdiction over Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Iran, Israel and the Middle East. He is a leader in promoting nuclear security and combating the threat posed by terrorists obtaining nuclear material.
To protect our troops in Afghanistan, Senator Casey has been the Senate’s leader to increase international pressure to stop the flow of ammonium nitrate, a prime component in IEDs that have killed or wounded thousands of troops and civilians. Senator Casey is also working with the Department of Defense and State Department to make sure they have the tools they need to stop the IED assembly line.
