Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh (BDB) President AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury has expressed his support for the caretaker government formula placed by BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.
In a press statement hours into the announcement of the formula on Monday, B Chowdhury welcomed her for presenting the formula.
He said: “The government should accept the proposal in the interest of a fair election.”
Khaleda in the afternoon proposed forming a non-partisan caretaker government with 10 advisers from two previous caretaker governments.
B Chowdhury, a former president of the country, described the proposal as “balanced and very neutral”.
“I am expressing my support after expressing my agreement with the proposal,” he said. “I expect the government will accept the proposal positively in the interest of the country and a neutral election.”
