AlJazeera video – The deadliest day of the deadliest month in the history of Bangladesh since the 1971 liberation war

The deadliest day of the deadliest month in the history of Bangladesh since the 1971 liberation war was on August 4, 2024, now known as the 35th of July.

Watching this documentary brought back continuous reminders that so many innocent lives were lost for one reason: the arrogance of a tyrant, her administration & her backers in India to maintain their absolute power.
According to various sources, the tyrant and arrogant Hasina, during her last minutes in the Gonobhaban, ordered the police and military to stop the incoming streams of student-people, even that meant killing another five to ten thousand. The military declined, and police chief said they could not stop the human tsunami even by killing that numbers. The army chief stood by his gun and gave Hasina, his cousin, only 45 minutes to quit.
As such, while the students led the successful uprising to victory on August 5, credit must also be given to the military to see a somewhat peaceful exit of Hasina. Otherwise, things could be dangerous, even a chance of Indian march-in.
