b14087d2296f73308fbd9b6c55db762a-pmPrime minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday said the government will be bound to execute the court’s order if BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia does not surrender before the court.

“She (Khaleda Zia) should surrender before the court, otherwise the government has to execute court’s order. Her actual place is in ‘there’ (court),” said the PM while addressing a rally.

Peshajibi Samannaya Parishad (a council of professionals) organised the rally at Krishibid Institution Bangladesh auditorium in the city, condemning ‘atrocities’ done by the BNP-Jamaat alliance.

Referring to BNP chairperson’s press conference on Friday, the prime minister said, “What is there to talk about? Her hands are stained with blood. There won’t be any talks with a ‘murderer’ and the ‘leader of the militants’.”

Khaleda Zia at a press briefing on Friday urged the ruling party to sit for a dialogue.

Regarding the ‘disappearance’ of BNP joint secretary general Salah Uddin Ahmed, the PM said, “We are searching for him as a case has been filed against him. Khaleda Zia knows where he is now.”

She also said everybody knows he (Salah Uddin Ahmed) was delivering the statements from the BNP chief’s Gulshan office.

The PM said the government will do whatever it takes to end countrymen’s troubles triggered by the ongoing turmoil.

Among others, Dhaka University vice chancellor AAMS Arefin Siddique, information affairs adviser to the prime minister Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury and attorney general Mahbubey Alam also spoke at the rally.
