Bangladesh will send medical team to Gaza to help cope with a rising number of causalities caused by Israeli attacks.
Health minister Mohammed Nasim on Sunday said they had started talking with the foreign ministry and “the Red Crescent” to find ways to send the team comprising doctors and nurses.
“We’ll send a medical team,” he told journalists as Israeli atrocities on Gaza civilians continued.
The minister made this announcement at a press meet at Dhaka Reporters’ Unity.
Israeli attacks have killed about 2,000 Palestinians and devastated wide tracts of densely populated Gaza.
The UN formed an international commission of inquiry into possible human rights violations and war crimes committed by both sides during Israel’s military offensive in the Gaza Strip.
Bangladesh has been vocal against the Israeli brutalities from the beginning.
Dhaka strongly condemned the Israeli aggression and called upon the members of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) to impose sanctions on Israel to send “a strong message” against its aggression in Gaza.
The 14-party ruling alliance earlier had decided to send a delegation to convey their sympathies to the Gaza civilians.
Nasim who is also the spokesperson of the alliance on Sunday said they would send their political team with the medical team.
